OEJ videos outsold Ben Dover videos 4 to 1

ok, this is a post i should have made yrs ago and like many others never did .Think I must have read it in a top shelf mag in maybe 2003/04 something along the lines that if you stopped people in the street a fair few would have heard of Ben Dover even if never having seen his then gonzo stuff, after all think he was turning up on all sorts of tv like eurotrash from say late 1990's.
But this article was seemingly saying that many people in the street would not have heard of OEJ but in reality the OEJ sales outstripped Ben Dover by more than 4 to 1 even though Ben Dover seemed to be put up as one of the UK's biggest porn success stories . So, was there any truth in this article and if so, the obvious question seemingly has to be ..

Does this mean OEJ is 4 times wealthier than Ben Dover...

Interesting but I cannot quantify that as I dont know what Ben Dovers sales figures were

One things for certan though. Ben was certainly the first to make his mark with the gonzo phenomenon and was literally the only person known for that POV style and had a good innings for a good few years ahead of anyone else

How was the volume of sales counted?

a) total sales in a year.

b) average number of sales of a title in a year.

As other posts have shown different people have different interests.
The basic theme of Ben Dover was the fundamentally the same for every scene while OEJ's content was much more varied.

Hence potentially a punter might only buy one Ben Dover featuring a specific model but several OEJ titles which would explain the much higher average number of sales per title.
