Are you serious? These sites are just there to harvest people's credit card details then the cards are hammered knowing that most customers are unable to dispute the charges and just have to suck it up. Do you really think those sites would make anywhere close to the same money just on happy customers paying subscriptions? With the best will in the world a low end pseudo Benny Hill with 2013 Brit porn models is never going to make the same money as someone with your email address and credit card info and very little scruples.

You obviously do not know how credit card chargebacks work. You call you credit card company say you are not happy these charges were taken out without your permission and they will return the money unless the merchant can 100% prove you made and received the purchase. All the power is with the consumer not the merchant, which is why you should always buy with credit cards.
If you used a debit card you go through the same process, slight longer and more tedious, but in the end you will always get your money back.

You obviously have no idea how married men work if they have a joint bank account.

Re: nerdpervert problems
Not sure how being married and having a joint bank account changes anything?
You to wife: Someone has been fraudulently using our card I have contacted the bank and they have cancelled the transactions and refunded us.
Wife to you: Well done husband drop your pants I will thank you by sucking your cock.
You to wife: Groovy

Alternatively you can just join a site and not get ripped off but that's just a sign of the times I suppose.
Re: nerdpervert problems
Obviously that would be a better option, I was just trying to help you or any others sort out a bad situation.

The bank was fine and the card was cancelled as it was hit from several different companies but it was a royal pain in the bum

OK, i just looked at nerdperverts join page and the pre-checked offers are pretty obvious to see. If you don't see them - and you have to scroll past them to hit the submit button - then I'm sorry, you've got no-one else to blame for yourself.
That aside, join sites using ccbill/epoch/verotel as they won't have the pre checked stuff.
Chargebacks will work but that card will be useless in the future for joining other adult sites after you've done one. You'll be added to a blacklist so don't be to gung-ho about charging back as you'll just be shooting yourself in the foot.
The simplest thing to do is use your eyes when joining and stop blaming others for your oversight
