If you went to a shop to do your weekly shopping would you be happy if, when you checked your credit card, you saw they had also taken for any future shopping you may do as well?

Ah, I get it, it was MY fault they raped my credit card? Do a search of the web for "Lotza Dollars" complaints and you will see there are quite a few of us idiots out there. No wonder the tubes do so well now!

The only way that sites like this can operate is because not enough people complain. I would think that they work on the basis of people being too worried about reporting this sort of thing to their bank and this gives them a free hit on a lot of peoples credit cards.

The problem is the cross sells are checked on the sign up page. Even though it's clearly visible it woudn't surprise me if a lot of people don't notice it's checked when they press the complete transaction button.
It would be ok if they were unchecked as at least then you would have to click them yourself to take advantage of the offers.

Pre checked cross sales are nothing new but yes, they are shady.
What makes things worse is that the actual site -in the eyes of lotza dollars- is just a front to make more money from these cross sales. Im guessing the content owner of this site gets squat for extra income made on the back of the initial site sales.

Having said that, customers need to open there eyes more when signing up to anything online (adult or not). Even mainstream sites do stuff like this and i got hit with a ?25 charge coming out of my account where nothing was adult related.

Most adult sites are good and cancelling things is FAR easier than most things you use in your home. Mobile phone lock in contracts, landline contracts, Sky contracts etc etc all need a phone call to cancel and prob an additional 30 days on top of you 2 year contract but these are all taken for granted now.

I also signed up for the 1 day trial membership expecting to get full access to the site. Instead I just got access to 1 video!

I cancelled the membership and, no the positive side, I admit that I have had no problems with further billings.

HOWEVER, my inbox is now getting Spammed with upwards of 50+ messages a day all because I signed up for nerdpervert.

Just when I thought porn site Spam was a distant memory....

Very dissapointed

Like I said in my previous post, the actual content that you see (and want) is just a front for numerous other revenue streams on some shady sites.

You guys really think tube sites are just there to give punters free movies?
Some of the advertising on there contains all sorts of malware and nasties if clicked on and as for email spam you'll get from there ... lol

It dont make sense to do bad business by hoodwinking consumers. Treat em right and they'll trust you.

That's what i hate about the adult business across the board, this cynicism that a sucker is born every minute. Knowing Paul Taylor as I do I can back him up by saying that he isnt a rip off merchant and would subscribe to giveing customers good service for their sign ups.

Its unfortunate that these things can be outside of our control when youre website is based overseas but Im sure a quick word in their ear will help sort the situation out
