The dangers or shaving genital areas

Post by middee »

This is what I always thought.

When you shave you open pores and cause tiny abrasions to the skin. Thus opening up the epidermis to infection.

So in theory, you stand more chance of contracting something by attempting to be in fashion.

There is a reason for what nature intended.

This confirms it http://www.bbc.co.uk...health-21832543

It's virtually impossible to prevent damage to the skin caused by shaving. And the amount of nips and rashes that I have seen on shaved areas confirms this.

Meaning clients and industry workers are at a higher risk of contracting something.

A better alternative would be to trim the area.

It's an ill wind...as they say.. If this means there might be a return to the fond remembered and wonderful sight of a lovely bush, then so good. In the meantime there is always VEF.

I cannot imagine anyone will stop shaving after seeing that.
It states that it is "minor infections" and that they clear up by themselves quickly.
Also, that report states that 24 of the 30 people tested were men. So, if anything, it is recommending that men stop shaving there.

You take your chances with everything.

Your skin is the barrier to protection.

So 30 people (forget about the sex of the sample) are taken as indicative. Medical and scientific journals are full of such articles and few reading that professionally, whilst accepting that there are slight possibilities for infection, would accept 30 as an acceptable sample. It's reminiscent of the tag lines on various ads on TV at present where 82% of 125 men, women or pets are said to prefer or endorse a product.

Such articles are written for three reasons: to attract interest, attract funding and, when backed with reasonable sized samples, deep research and comparative analysis, to alert the world to new threats, or new possibilities.

How many girls who come on here have had problems. My missus has been shaving her pubes since 1976 without any problem and I dare say there are many thousands of porn stars, naturists and ordinary women who would report the same. As for men shaving, I just wonder what the orientation of the men was as there are other implications for homosexual sex.

I've organised enough events for scientists and academics to present their "findings" to know that someone else will soon come out with a paper on how healthy shaving the pubic area is.
