Student Documentary Looking For Inteviewees

Post by TidyProductions »

Hi BGAFD community,

I am a producer of a student production team based at the University of Brighton. For a practice based dissertation we are producing a short documentary surrounding the relationship between technology and pornography. More over, we want to find out from you, the effects new technologies (such as smart phones and tablets) are having on the production and distribution of pornography. This, as well as the effects these new technologies are having on the consumption of pornography.

We are based in Brighton and looking for anyone involved in the industry, (actors, actresses, directors, producers, anyone!) willing to be interviewed.

If interested in helping us out, please contact us on the email ajp36@unil.brighotn.ac.uk

Thanks,

Hi Adam,

Not meaning to sound rude but will your budget for travel extend to outside of Brighton? I only ask as I may be able to help.

I do know people around Brighton who may be able to help but I'd best ask them first as they usually dont look on here.

Hi,

well it depends how far outside of Brighton, we are quite flexible with how far we will travel to our interviewees but there are particular locations that are outside of our range, where would we be travelling to for these interviews?

unil.brighOTn.ac.uk?

Is that the uni where all the students have dyslexia?

more likely the correct email address is the one in your profile:

ajp36@uni.brighTOn.ac.uk

GTF seems to be correct here.

Oh sorry, I was looking at the email address on my profile. Yes, the one within the message is a mistake.

Thanks for pointing that out GTF.

You were right, somebody else has just pointed out where the mistake is in the message. Sorry about that.

Chaperoning a well known porn star during her appearance at a soho branch of a well known chain of sex shops, I was astounded to learn from the manager that VCR tape was still a significant selling format - this was only two years ago.

The porn industry is not the hotspot of technical innovation you may be hoping to discover. I think you'll find the same goes for the production side unless your travel budget stretches to a visit to some back lots in LA.

The family friendly stance of the Apple store has prevented much happening around tablet and phone innovations. Certainly interesting effects in social media and consumer browsing habits but very limited affects in the commercial industry. This may change in the post-iPhone/iPad world but good luck on finding anyone knowledgable to interview on that topic.

Unless your goal is notoriety through the inevitable Daily Mail article about your course at the University of Brighton once they pick up on the story, I suspect you may want rethink your topic.

Incidentally where and what were you drinking when someone came up with the idea as a student production?
