Re: Sneakypee - Is it legal?
Fistly there is no law, or clause in any law that says, "The making and production of pornography will be deemed an illegal act." If this was the case, large companies like TVX and Playboy TV would be charged with the "Aiding and abbetting of a crime" and the contracts they issue, could be presented in court as hard evidence!
The reason for this is quite simple, where does a scene in a film cease to be a "Love scene" and become a "Pornographic scene?" So a hot scene in a feature film where the stars got carried away, could suddenly find it had broken the law, why? Because you have people fucking in the presence of a camera crew! The courts would grind to a halt, everyone could be arrested, even a couple having some fun with a camcorder, could potentially face prosecution! It would be crazy. This may well be the law in Saudi Arabia, but not in the UK......yet!
However, here it is illegal to distribute or sell porn in the form of a DVD or similar medium other than from a licenced sex shop and the DVD must be licenced. It is illegal to either produce or possess what is considered to be, "Extreme" porn, under the Criminal Justice and immigration Act 2008, section 63-67 and obviously it is is illegal to make or possess indecent material with underage people.
It is also illegal to "outrage public decency" ie behaving in such a grossly and disgusting manner that others in the presence of, or in the sight or view of the act, complain to the police.
So in short, basically you can make porn until you are blue in the face, as long as you, remain within the law, do it privately, dont upset anyone else and don't try to flog it on DVD at car boot sales.
As far as sneaky-pee is concerned, it would appear to only become "illegal" when someone has witnessed the act and then reported it to the police. The desk sergeant would deem it a public order offence and then go back to sipping his tea and doing The Sun crossword!

Like I said Jim, thats what the police told me when I was raised 12 years ago and there are technical ways to do it if they really wanted but as I've stated, that rap could be beaten easily by an amateur student of law so they dont bother

Re: Sneakypee - Is it legal?
Like everything in this industry, it's often wide open to interpretation. We are very careful not to get caught; the offence would be offending someone, causing a complaint, not the actual act itself.
We avoid children like the plague. That's why we try and shoot in term time, and in school hours. Yes, we have shot on playgrounds (probably 5 times in 10 years btw) but always when they are deserted.
We live in a world where take away pizza will arrive faster than a 999 call to the police. I would like to think the police have better things to do than chase a bloke with a camera and a couple of sexy women only to have it laughed out of court.

Why are you looking at me like I've just given your sister an STD?
