Facebook page closed down (sob!)

Facebook have closed down the Laura Hermansen fanpage I set up. I received this email from Facebook:

"...Hello,

Your Page "Laura Hermansen" has been removed for violating our Terms of Use. A Facebook Page is a distinct presence used solely for business or promotional purposes. Among other things, Pages that are hateful, threatening, or obscene are not allowed. We also take down Pages that attack an individual or group, or that are set up by an unauthorized individual. If your Page was removed for any of the above reasons, it will not be reinstated. Continued misuse of Facebook's features could result in the permanent loss of your account.

I find this odd because there was nothing raunchy on there, all the photos were very tame with the exception of one which showed her boobs. There were links on there for porn clips but I always ensured to leave gaps in the wording so it wasn't a direct link, the people reading it were told by me to "put all these letters together". It was a fanpage that was less raunchy than a men's coffee table magazine yet they have closed it down. Does anyone reading this have experience of something of theirs being shut down by Facebook? I can apparently follow this up and challenge them but there is little point.

RIP The Laura Hermansen Facebook fanpage. Oh well, 71 (seventy one) people joined it and that is quite an achievement in terms of numbers.

That could be the reason alone or maybe the links to videos, linked or not..

I've had an account closed with 5000 members due to a nipple showing thru a wet t-shirt.

I think a nipple slip wouldve warranted a removal of the image but any links to porn is a shut down whether direct or not. Their mods show no mercy for such things.

Ivve had pages pulled but reinstated. You got to play by the rules as you are a guest in their back yard.

Are you sure Laura herself didnt have it removed? Seems to me if she is back in the business she is keeping a very low profile which could have something to do with the page being removed

Sorry to hear that. Facebook always accuses people when they claim that they haven't done anything wrong. Violation this, violations that. My goodness, FB, gimme break!

It would seem Facebook is very strict about showing anything they might class as raunchy, even a boob. That would mean then that glamour models are bound to have their pages pulled too, even if nothing is shown. I would imagine that even 'suggestive' pictures (which is what all glamour photography is) would be enough for the killjoys at Facebook to remove the page.

Hi there one eyed jack. You say you've had pages reinstated but I won't bother to try to get mine reinstated. They have pulled it and like most complaints people make in life it would likely be a waste of time. I have no idea if Laura herself got the thing pulled, I am a massive fan of hers obviously but I have not had any direct contact with her. Maybe one thing I did wrong was to call the page simply "Laura Hermansen" and have a picture of her for the profile. This might have given friends of hers, who were looking for the real private her, to think that it was actually her - and not a tribute page dedicated to the 'other' thing she does in her life, something many of her friends and family might not know about. It might have been a good idea if I had called it someting like "Laura Hemansen fanpage", or "...tribute page", or something similar. People may have thought at face-value that it was the real her. Regarding the photoshoots you mention of her with Pete Le Meat I imagine they are not recent but from her first phase in the porn biz from 10 years ago. Is that correct?

Hi there rhino. Yes, Facebook certainly seems strict - unlike Twitter where they don't seem to care if you post raunchy pics.
