The Brits, by and large, came to the party rather late. A large porn industry in the USA has had decades to get the way and size it is. Due to
UK laws the Brits have in not much more than a decade been making their
voices heard and bodies seen.
That said, its all a question of personal taste. Brit Porn is grittier and
rougher and shoots vastly more reality stuff, proportionately, than USA.
But lets also be honest - reality porn is much cheaper to shoot, its the
easy option and has been very popular of late. I think Brits do reality very
well, actually.
The Americans have always thought in "star" concepts, are good at
packaging and marketing specific girls and given a gloss to all they do.
My biggest shock on first directing in L.A. was how genuine the girls,
even newcomers are; girls are invariably loud and dirty from their first sc.
Some UK directors may tell me Brit girls are the same but I find it hard to
believe they are quite so on the ball. At same time, I always crack up when

a genuine slut with that accent (I accept some overdo it).
It all boils down to personal taste !

I think they both have their own pro's and cons, likewise with European porn.

I take it scene by scene and find something I like in all of it dependant on my mood at the time.

The Americans have the best sites, and the British the best girls. When done right us Brits do it more realistic and with humour, wit and character.

The Americans have better value for money, variety, more HD, more quality and all types of girls.
