It's been a while since I've posted on the website, This is just another angle on a previous post "What's Happened to British Porn".

For me the issue is Subsciption, as im only intrested in certain performers, It's not possible to subscribe to all the great British website's like, Killergram, JimSlip, Real Couples, Lady Sonia, ect. I recently visted Bootybox paid a set amount for certain amount off downloads, which were great qaulity.

Surley the issue for you the produces is flexiabilty, is in the way we pay. Please move away from recurring charges, surley if you offered affordable downloads priced right, you would generate more custumers.

For example i love Anna Joy, who's got a scene on Jimslip, i would to download it, but i dont want to subribe for a month.

Surley this business lost and not gained.

I wonder if a sort of "netflix" could be created for porn, bypassing this issue. Developers would host their content on an encrypted stream, and you would just pay via credits/money for a single video. Would lower distribution costs, lowering the price of the video etc.

Definitely agree the current model is stifling business.

Personally I think that the very segmented system of UK producers having their own sites is partly to blame - why not produce content, and host it on a single UK porn "megasite"? That way, instead of random producers having to manage and update their own site, they simply contribute to a single site, and a revenue stream is produced in return....

I don't like the idea of PPV though, and sadly Strictly Broadband have priced their scenes/movies way over what I'm willing to pay for a permanent version, and sadly, I'm not willing to pay someone every time I fancy cracking one off at the sight of one of my "favourite" stars?? I'd be more inclined to join a site which offers me a monthly subscription, with unlimited use/downloads to everything on the site.

I know why this model is not the one people like - technically I could get a 1TB HDD, sign up to something like Killergram and download the entire lot in a single month, and never have to join again for another 6 months to "catch-up" but I honestly don't agree with any form of PPV payment/subscription system which charges someone for every time they download or view a scene

It's a model which some of the US sites went down, and changed back to monthly subscriptions offering unlimited use, which makes me wonder why the larger companies in America and Europe don't use this model, yet the UK market seems to be considering it.... perhaps that's why the UK is lagging behind??

I certainly disagree with any arguments that the UK and US scenes are different, the Internet is open to all so traditional boundaries don't apply, literally the world is your oyster.... yet the UK producers are struggling for business compared to foreign companies....

Perhaps it's time for the UK market to seriously reconsider how it uses the web, and maybe seriously discuss operating a single UK producer only site, offering the best from all UK producers to the world??

I have always offered a full membership program and pay per download on my site

I would rather pay a monthly subscription and have full access to all the site and then choose what i want to download

Not true at all. I know plenty of big american and european companies that are suffering. A couple of the biggest arent suffering because they have external interests that fund their porn operation anyway.

EVERYONE has been impacted by the recession.

That said and done, the thought of a single super mega site could be achieved if we producers could all get around for a beer and sign off on the idea but can you imagine the distrust surrounding who should control it and the accusations of theft, lack of transparency with this business model?

I think confidence has been shattered where trust is concerned by the few companies that have tried to monopolise on UK business by pirating extra copies to be sold for cash out the back door.

The monthly subscription seems to be the best option available right now and I think it is reasonably priced for the amount of content you are getting.

I agree if there was only about a couple dozen scenes but I also imagine a ppv option will piss off affiliates big time who want to make money but left making peanuts if trying to sell this way.

I offer both on my site but its now mainly a subscription site, in fact since the revamp went up there hasn't been a single scene purchase its all been sign ups. In fact I'd encourage webmaster to promote the subscription part only when promoting my site, cash program shouldn't be much longer
