It would take a cooler head than I have to start pumping the
brakes [however systematically] at 70, though.... I did do it
'by instinct' last year when I slipped on black ice at about

Would you carve out a short career as a stud if there was evidence you were many times more likely to die of prostate cancer before the age of 50-60, or put it another way, would you peform as a regular if it meant dying at 60 as opposed to 70?

Actually, prostate cancer has been linked to low levels of zinc in the body, and semen contains the highest concentrations of zinc, so wanking excessively will deplete your stores of zinc faster than they can be replenished. The average British diet is quite deficient in zinc, and it's hard absorbing minerals from tablet form since minerals need to be in a highly chelated form to be easily absorbed. A good example is Hemoglobin. The chelated form of Iron in Hemoglobin is too complex to be synthesized at present, so eating blood is the best way to overcome iron deficiency. The same rules apply to all minerals.

I think that most porn stars will have to drive a lot for example from yorkshire to london for a shoot and are therefor at greater risk of road death.

Added to that most are young and inexperianced drivers.

Thus they are are most likely to die in crashes.

Most young drivers drive about in 12 year old Bangers designed before safety was a priority eg saxo old fiesta's etc. Thus Porn Stars and their other half's are usually in this sort of car range.

When I passed my test 10 years ago were an aged Austin Maestro then a 12 year old Polo.

Add all this together and you have your reason's for high death rates from car crashes.

That's an interesting theory. Do you think that this also applies to America? It was American porn stars that I was originally referring to.

I've banged the drum here before for a calm, rational look at
what can be made of what statistics there are for "pornstar
deaths" [whatever that term means]. The nearest we have to
a database is iafd's listing- which doesn't, for some reason
[perhaps because it's not sensational enough?] include details
for deaths by 'natural causes' or old age [or those ailments
associated with the sheer passage of time]. I look forward to
seeing those pages in 15 years time, when many of the 70s
'old guard' will be drawing their pensions.
I've concluded that in most categories people in the adult
industry are no more prone to die than their larger national
peer-group, and pace diploma-mill medics like Sharon Mitchell
[a classic case of vested interest], once the risks of HIV were
widely known deaths in that category rapidly trickled down to
the national level..... true, herpes and STDs are more prevalent
than in the larger population [albeit relatively easily treatable,
however unpleasant to suffer]- but then, firemen are more likely
as a subset to get burned at work, and miners more at risk
from lung-disease; most physical occupations have more or less
endemic high-risk elements associated with them.
The overall conclusion? A lot of arse-gravy is talked about
"pornstar deaths". And people like Shelley Lubben [what sort
of 'porn star' was she, anyway?] who use others' personal
tragedies to advance a semi-political agenda deserve to be
publicly flogged.
