Trouble is, the hairy/not hairy debate always seems to get hijacked by the extremists (like so much in life...) i.e. those who like a bald Beetle Bonnet versus those who like a bear-trapper's hat. Me, I reckon the apex of pubic topiary was the late 80s/early 90s, when women had realised that, in common with hair on other parts of the body, pubes could sometimes use a bit of a tidy-up. So hair tended to be removed from around the fanny lips, arshole and groin region to leave a nice neat triangle pointing like a downwards-facing arrow, towards the main attraction.

Then, as swimwear was cut higher, the desire to avoid the "spider's legs" effect led to the pubes being shaved closer and closer to wards the centre, culminating in the ridiculous landing strip (or even those laughable "Hitler Taches" you see on some models!) Add to that the fact that US porn fans hate body hair per se, as it offends their notion of porn being artificially clean and hygenic , and Bob's your uncle, girls eventually decided to whip it all off.

To me, bald fannies are too reminiscent of pre-teens fannies and I certainly don't want to see that. Sexually mature adults are supposed to have hair around their genitals - but that doesn't mean it has too look like The Forest of Dean down there!
