Do any UK pornstars get royalties years later?

I was wondering if any UK porngirls keep receiving residual payments for movies they have starred in, months and years after they have made them. This is, of course, how it works in the music industry and often in the film industry, where stars get cash each time a copy of that CD or movie sells. People who star in TV adverts get residuals (as they are called) every time a TV ad they are in is screened, meaning they continue to get an income often years after they stopped having anything to do with the thing they were involved in.

Is that how it works in UK porn, or do the stars get given money to appear and then that is it - they are then disassociated from the film for ever more, regardless of how many copies it does or doesn't sell in the future? I am curious about this. Are there some retired British porngirls who are now working in day jobs who are still getting an income?

Sorry, we're not being nasty, but in the world of porn, you are lucky to get paid at all, full stop! The chances of some scheming, toothpick chewing, scumbag, lowlife, actually paying you what was owed for years to come, is extremely funny.

Actually the repeat fees on TV came about in the early days of the BBC, when the Toffs that ran it employed other Toffs to make the programmes and in this way, they ensured their friends were left in clover for the rest of their lives.

You'll find few companies allow for this now.

Rule of thumb who ever owns the rights gets the royalties
Some of the bigger names contract stars might have been smart enough to have royalties written into their contracts but they'd be the exception rather than the rule

Yeah thats about right. Guys can keep going (literally) for longer. Although Ronnie has become his own cartoon people like Peter North are still going but for any girl to have a royality deal at all let alone one where she can trust the producer would be extremely rare.

Why should they get royalty deals anway? Performers are the ones who get paid (in cash) on the day.

producers are the ones out of pocket for the investment.

Now if say a certain return was exceeded to make a profit and you know that person could generate extra sales on the basis of their name then I for one would certainly consider it.

Otherwise, girls you guys on here might think are bankable may only be so with the right kind of media/ exposure behind them.
