I don't think that there has even been a "heyday".

The industry is changing all the time. When I first became interested in porn (the late 70's), the pornbabes were; Mary Millington, Rosemary England. Then it generated to Vicky Scott (the Scottish one) Marie Harper. By the early 90's it was; Louise Hodges, Anne-Marie Kyte, Teresa May, Nici Sterling, etc. By the beginning of this century it had changed to; Layla Jade, Michelle Thorne, and such like.
