The price of porn?

A bloke I know with his own secondhand shop does porn under the counter. All genuine titles, mostly brand new and bought in bulk. I bought some at a tenner and nagged him over the months to do an exchange, like a sex shop might. After a lot of persuading, he finally agreed to do it, but "only for you, as you've been a customer for years".

Since he agreed to do this I've not bothered with an exchange once, even though he's doing Private stuff for ?7 a go, all originals, and Rude Britannia titles for less than a fiver.

For me, the RB stuff is not worth the cash and the Private is well worth keeping and not something I feel like trading.

Last year I bought a lot of dvds from the US, especially from Excalibur Films, but this year I've discovered a ton of free porn from loads of different sites. I'm downloading at least 1 movie a day and I have at least 30 burned dvds lying around the house I've never watched yet! You should check out the net first. Even in the last few minutes I've found a few great Kellemarie clips from a Russian site!

As a former councillor I knew people on licensing who just loved how much the sex shop licenses brought in. They keep council's afloat

So I agree that the licensing is the problem but they are not going to give that up soon

Go to Belgium and you can buy 10 hour dvds for less than ?3.00 yes you have read it correct 10 hours of non stop fucking all different scenes on one disk and provided you dont have more than 10 disk the customs dont bother you but any more than that and they consider it importing so you can have 100 hours of porn for ?30.00 or less ,enough to keep you going for a weekend !grin!

I wouldn't bother buying any dvd in this country mate. Try europe or the states. Lest face it most of what we buy is usually not half as good as it looks on the covers anyway so why pay daft money for it. I tend to buy a few at a time every so many months and sell off any I don't want anymore.

Nope, just where I happen to shop for them. The only cheap place for UK stuff is that R18 website but thats probably based abroad for legal reasons even though they probably actually operate closer to home if you know what I mean?

I was really referring to adults only shops before anyway, well overpriced due to the restrictions placed on them by the authorities.

I understand that the price of a sex shop licence is extremely high. Therefore, the owner(s) have to recoup their initial financial outlay somehow. This is obviously achieved by offering their products with a very high mark up. It's normal business practice to do this.
