As I said Jock Strap there are only a handful of people who can do this....A handful of name does not a industry make where this is concerned..If it is, its the same faces doing it over and over just like in the US.

Lets face it, the reason why the US has more credibility is because a load get off the bus every day hoping to make it legitimately in Hollywood then suddenly become realistic they have to make a living...Some end up waiting, some end up in prostitution and some end in porn...The ones who can act and look exceptional are elevated to that appelation: Porn Star!

In defence of ben brerbear (i Havent seen the film by the way) but would you seriously expect any film maker to cast anyone playing a pornographer against type?

I couldnt see the nice pornographer with a heart of gold going down to well...Its a shame as it would have been different.

Maybe Ben should have got Burt Reynolds arty pornographer character in Boogie Nights

What I do like to see is the setting, costume props etc., the mise en sc?ne done right.

I'm all for a scene featuring honest to goodness pornstars screwing in a hotel room, but if one of them is pretending to be a businessman and the other a maid then they should dress like a convincing businessman and a real maid.

The exception to this is a fantasy maid (I can't imagine what a fantasy businessman would look like? That's not my fantasy really !happy!).

The same goes for a "mile-high club" fantasy; if you don't film it in a convincing airplane set it will lose a lot of it's attraction for the people who HAVE such a fantasy. Doctors and nurses? Get the uniforms and a proper hospital bed.

Complicated stories often don't work in porn because, for example; there is only one real reason why a beautiful girl will shag 5 guys, doing DP with a bukkake finish and that's because she's in a porno film (bless her! !love!).

So a simple plot is fine, in fact no plot is fine too, but whatever the scene, it's worth getting the details right.
