short answer - its not. There is some poor British porn but every market and genre is the same - dont judge the whole industry on the "efforts" of a few amateurs

Er...havent we trodden this path many times already? I think you should generalise and say why is a lot of porn poor? As already stated there is a lot of porn which does what its sopposed to do and give you a raging hard on to crack one out with a five knuckle shuffle- Naht ah mean guv, but like any other entertainment medium your going to find good and bad available side by side, that's just a fact of life.

I think their is an insurgence of good stuff coming out from a variety of producers at the moment. The only problem is its coming out amongst a deluge of what I would term diplomatically as very average stuff. Look at the reviews, watch the free trailers and you shouldnt really go wrong.

I feel we go short on the production values. We still think gonzo is the way forward and will accept average looking girls. Look at the stunning girls and glorious locations in Private or Viv Thomas vids, no grubby houses, tattooed slappers etc.
Also my favourite grind is the majority of male Brit porn stars think they are great comedians and try to extract humour when it isn't needed. If I want a laugh I'll watch Porridge or Cheers, not Ben/Mar etc.

Alot of USA porn is poor aswell, there is good and bad UK porn but that point was already made. My answer was purely about the UK girls going to America to work

Because there simply isn't any money in it anymore. There are 400 times the amount of people in it now than there was 20 years ago, when you could make money producing, shooting etc. Now mostly, it is just full of wankers !

In answer to Neils question: The answer is simply, the girls get better money, more work, better climate, everything is (allegedly) centralised so ideal for any girl to bag some cash and meet loads of other prospective work with the variety of producers out there.
