I was always under the impression she was a 55 year old man. The guy who took over the "Jennifer Clifford" empire posted on this board that he bought it off the old guy shortly before he had a heart attack while watching Baywatch.

I was quite disillusioned at the time as I was convinced she was a 17 year old lady.

The story was Jen was his girlfriend, when he snuffed it she who I believe was dutch was befriended by a dutch who tried to carry it on. I think they all sold it to someone already in industry. She was if I remmeber 20 or 21,

Oh, don't torment them Phil. The person they associate the Jennifer Clifford name with was the amateur teeny model sort that featured in a number of Brian 'Jennifer' Clifford's' films and catalogues before he moved to Amsterdam. She was, if I recall correctly, from round Brian's way when he lived down in Cornwall, or was it Devon? It was the southwest anyway. I remember meeting 'his guys' one afternoon at a service area on the M5 (at the behest of our mutual associate). I seem to recall they came mob handed - must have thought I was going to shoot 'em or something.

Anyhow, the girl you are referring to was the one he latched onto when he got over to Amsterdam, but she wasn't the original 'Jennifer'. It was Brian who was the real persona of Jennifer - all the films, story?s, letters, catalogues, in fact the whole ?Jennifer' phenomena sprang from the mind of Brian Clifford. Which, I guess, is why it withered and died after his passing.

Jennifer was around long before Brian went over to Holland tho. "She" was sending me letters on perfumed, flowery notepaper when "she" was still in England.

What is the percentage in pretending to be a 20 year old girl? Are people more likely to buy porno videos from a young girl or something? Did Brian do his market research before launching into this zany quest?

I believe Brian did "shag" a dutch girl in one of his films after he'd moved to Holland, perhaps that was the lady who tried to carry on as Jennifer Clifford. You could tell something had happened tho because Brian wrote in a very strange style, particularly using the phrase *grin* everytime he made a joke. That all disappeared in the brochures after he'd gone. They tried to pretend it was still Jennifer but they were making elementary errors like saying "This is my mate Dawn from down the road" when it was obviously a professional porno star you'd seen in dozens of other videos.

A sad loss to the UK adult industry...

Thanks Dibble..but Jennifer never did claim to be in any of the films. It was always her mates like "Dawn" and "Kerry". I did actually request if Jennifer herself would appear in a film and Brian said he'd "think about it" but it never came through. I presume he felt revealing Jennifers dangling ballbag beneath a hairy flabby arse would be a little too hardcore for his mainstream viewers..

He did perform quite well in his video tho - he even got so caught up in his fantasy that he grunted to the young girl he was with that "Fucking with Jennifer is one thing, fucking with a real man is another..."

I've never before heard that Jennifer was a man. She certainly had me fooled. One thing I will say in his/her favour, whatever I ordered was delivered, usually within 2 weeks, unlike a lot of other mail order businesses at the time who sent nothing or a softcore video I could have hired from my local video shop.
