I was reading an old issue of club magazine today and was reading an article on British Porn Stars that make it in the states and was disgustied at the statement of Roxy Jezzel WINNING Female Best Performer of the year 2004. I don't know where they got that from but it is clearly not correct in any sense. When I last checked it was Ashley Blue and didn't see any sign of Miss Jezzel there. Someone got there facts wrong or Miss Jezzel is telling Porkies

Come on guys at the end of the day this girl Kimberley is only stating the fact that Roxy got credit for something that she didn't do. We all know that she won an award here. Is she ashamed to tell people that her award came from the UK and had nothing to do with the US market. If it's that easy to tell people that you won an award that you actually didn't receive and get it in print in Club Magazine then maybe we should all be doing it? I like to think that I give a bloody good scene but I've never lied about awards!

Yes but having not read the offending article and being a generous soul I'm not at all sure it's correct to infer it was Roxy lying as opposed to Club magazine making a mistake. Did she actually state this herself or was it just an assumption that it had come from her or even a misunderstanding?

hi everyone,
i just wanted to say a big thankyou for those of you who have supported me in this thread.
i would like to set the record straight; when the porn in the city night took place i informed both club magazine and the sport magazine that the award i had won was in fact 'female performer of the year' from the bafia and NOT from the avn awards.
in fact the sport magazine had got the event so wrong that they never even mentioned that i had arranged this event and that they said it was an awards ceremony instead? - a suprise to me i can assure you.
i would also like to add in reference to kimberley?! that i was at the avn awards, had been signing for red light district for the four days of the show and actually won 'best pro am series' for 'breakin em in #5'.
proof if needed of this award can be seen in the sport magazine or if you take a look on avn.com then you will see a picture of myself and fellow models at the show like jamie brooks, rio mariah and michelle b.
is that enough proof that i was actually there kimberley?!!!!
in reference to elizabeths post - please let me assure you that i am not ashamed of anything that i have achieved in the uk or the usa, its just a shame that some people in this industry get noticed and others just dont!

Hmm, yes, it looks like we made an honest mistake with regard to Roxy's trophy cabinet. I can't remember where we got this information from, but I think it's a bit harsh to suggest that Roxy has been telling porkies about her awards.
Why would she do that, after all, bearing in mind she'd almost certainly be found out?
In all probability it's my fault, in fact. I remember seeing one or two trophies at the Platinum Bar event, and perhaps drew the wrong conclusions. You can't blame me, though - anyone who's seen any of Roxy's performances could be mistaken for thinking she was due some recognition from AVN ? if Club held any awards ceremonies she'd certainly be in with a shout!
Maybe next year, eh?
