Let's be constuctive. Tomsk has highlighted an irritation in part of the process of model/photographer relationship. Is it possible to charge a non-returnable deposit? The girls has to pay you to photograph her. When this verbal agreement is reached if either party reneges then the other party keeps the non-returnable deposit.

What about a bonus scheme - if she does indeed turn up then she is paid 20% extra? If she doesn't then she loses the non-refundable deposit.

Both parties pay say - 20% of the total of the shoot. If no-show then person who turns up keeps the pot of gold .

Most studios charge the photographers (or model depends whos booking the studio) a deposit so if the photographer doesnt show but the model does then the model walks away with money and its not a waste of a travel (or vise versa) i think thats a good scheme i mean if you intend to show up and get the refund then why would putting money upfront to a 3rd party cause an issue, unless you dont intend to come?

I fail to see anything idiotic about it. This kind of thing is a real issue and Tomsk has got the balls (and it seems, the money) to voice the real issues that other insiders sidestep - either because they are too 'cuddly' or because they wish to ingratiate themselves with models in the hope of getting a shag (as they'd be struggling on Civi St) or becuase they don't want to rock the boat and deal with any flak from simpering nutmegs (fans) who don't know jack.
