i am now living in plymouth and notice there is a private shop in the city centre. i am thinking of buying some videos(as i dont have a dvd player)do the private shops have the R18 certificates.i dont wanna get ripped off with them saying they are uncensored when they are plain 18 softcore rubbish.i have the playboy/TAC/spice package on sky and would love to see the hardcore versions, especially the british shows and also the euro stuff.not keen on usa porn.will i be able to get the above hardcore from the private shops. sorry if this is O/T.

My experience, albeit a while ago, is that if they can rip you off they certainly will. You are far safer buying online from a reputable supplier.

You can get all the good stuff from the sex shop behind the theatre royal. Just ask for the R18 and they have a hell of a selection. Remember, you get what you pay for.

their Liverpool shop in 1991 and
have NEVER baught from them since.
The most reliable online suppliers

I have been into londo soho many times and have been in private shops, which are licensed and un licensed shops. The private shops are great, they are now allowed to see real hardcore movies legally and you know your gonna get the right thing. I have been to the unlicensed shops and once or twich i have come back home to find that i've have been given the wrong film, but then i did go back and change it with no probs, soho private shops are not as bad as everyone is making out.

Just to back up what Wesleyan said, I too have got proper R18 videos from the Private shop in Plymouth.

I got a few of the UK Student House videos in a special Daily Sport offer.

Check the prices though - in Soho R18 videos are typically ?19.95, 3 for ?50 - you may find much higher prices on the price tickets, but I think you'll find they will accept much ess if they know you know the London prices and it's the only way they will get a sale.

DD's right - NEVER pay the marked price, which will typically be ?40-ish. Haggle for the sort of prices in his post and make it plain you aren't interested in the rip-off cover prices. They'd much rather take some cash off you than none at all, unless you're unlucky enough to get a particularly bloody-minded assistant like the ones in my local shop (I drive a few miles to the next town and get much better service).
