Re: working with condoms

Hi all,

With so many contributions being made to Alicia's topic and being one of the very very few US based transsexual performers who regularly performs hardcore scenes without condoms, I just had to add my 2 cents' worth.

I prefer to perform bareback as it allows me to deliver a stronger scene by being able to include such things as ATM, creampie and uncut transition between partners, all of which cannot be done when wearing a condom.

But, at this time, I have performed more scenes with condoms than without even though it is not my preference.

The reason for this is that I consider the decision to use of condoms as being the talents' responsibility.

I always discuss the use of condoms with the Producer/Director at the casting stage and if the scene events dictate a bareback scene, I always ask for the names of the talent with whom I will be expected to perform

Unless I am able to consider my fellow performer(s) as having the integrity/professionalism to respect my personal health and who will, therefore, only walk on set when in no doubt over their clean STD status, then I will wrap up.
In return, I respect that I must tear open a condom packet if any of my fellow performers express any doubt over my integrity/professionalism, regardless of whether it comes from unfamiliarity, negative stereotypes or personal choices.

And now for some personal tips:
- If in any doubt, go for the sensible option and ask for condoms
- The greater your experience, the better your intuition becomes
- Socialise with your peers to become aware of "out of work" preferences
- Work with friends whenever possible
- If "no condom" is sprung on you on set, walk off, piss off the Director and smile at having avoided playig blackjack with your life
- It is better to work with a regular industry performer that has, in the past, announced unavailability due to recovery from a treatable STD than working with rookies or talent with large time gaps between shoots.

And finally,

I love to perform at the harsher edge of hardcore but this can only be done without condoms.

Whilst I am fortunate in being less subject to the "filthy dirty transsexual" stereotype than most of my peers (thanks to regular AIM tests and a slowly but surely growing reputation) and am therefore able to achieve a greater level of trust from fellow performers than is usually offered to a shemale, I have yet, to this day, still not performed bareback with male talent.
The reason? There are only two male performers that I currently trust and until I get to New York or London with a camera person, I will continue to ask for a pause in the shoot so that my stud can slip on a condom.

I would much rather perform a weaker scene which is condom clad than receive a posthumous "Best Performer" award from AVN
