Hi, just tried to load a post and it took me to some porn site instead! After deleting it some box came up saying 'click yes' which seemed to be a dial up. After clicking cancel it said 'nearly there, now press open'. pressed cancel again.
This has happened before. I was searching thru a site trying to find a decent studio to use and all the links to the studios own sites where changed so they were porn sites. Is my computer doing this or the website? I've checked for bugs and cleared history and all that but every now and again it happens again.

Re: Computer bug
yep i've had the same happen to me
Re: Computer bug
Turns out it's a Trojan virus. Not particularly bad apparently but it downloads adult files onto the system so it then loads them up in place of files u want to open. Not sure why it does it when it does but there you go.
If u do have the same problem, Mike, check this page out:

Sounds like your web browser has been hijacked mate. I had this a few months back, it's a bloody nuisance. Download a hijack blaster from Microsoft.com
Re: Computer bug
You need HiJackthis - from here:
some other apps from spywareinfo may also be useful to you - also try the forum for more help:
also try checking your hosts file entries using "Hosts file reader from here:
there are other browser and winsock hijack fixes from this site too.
Always back up your registry before doing anything like this though.

I'm not an expert, ... but I've been a victim,
Pressing "No" or "Delete" or the "X" to close the window can be as bad - depending what they've already done to your system.
Use (add one finger after the other then let go of all three) Up pops a window - Look for an internet explorer description that you didn't click on, highlight it by clicking on it and then click on end task. If it persists, do it again... Cost me a lot in time and money until I learned that!
.. err ... if you dont have Windows98 or later,, then I don't know.......
