And if the condom breaks at a crucial moment? Then what?

I realise that there has never been a documented case of HIV in the British Adult film industry, however, there are other STD's which are a lot more prevalent and have been transmitted. What I fail to understand is why everyone objects so passionately to the idea of 30 day tests? If I was going to disagree with the 30 day test lobby on anything, I would be asking 'How?' with regards to facilities and infrastructure as opposed to 'Why?'.

Safe is good, safer is better....30 day testing narrows the window between tests and thus narrows the chance of someone bringing something on set, which you have a greater chance of with 60 or 90 day tests. I hear Hustler in the US are now working to a 28-day test cycle, so it's obviously got Larry Flynt's approval, and he (and his advisors) are some of the shrewdest around. What's so wrong with holding ourselves to the same standard?

OK Well I want to voice my toughts on both of these issuses fristly. why do we wnat to have 30 day testing???????

Every job have health and saftey stanrds yes??? well why cant the uk porn industyr be the same Like the usa. We keep saying that we want to be seen as being a professtional gorup of people and well we cant do that if we do not follow the lead that has been set. So i would like to say that who ever said re hustler have a 28 day cert thing going well done to piont that out. If he and his guys agree why should nt we do it. afterall we want to be seen as being like them as such. They are well know for traeting their girls with rescpet. Why should the uk scene not be like this. We should recpscet every one from amature to pro to Producers. So i think that if you cant be asred to get the certs then well tough luck to you as your not profestional. I will not work with any pros unless they have 30 day certs and same for amatures.

Secoundly re the usa hiv scare. We do not want this to happen here so here is the list of people at the moe who are not cleared yet JUST IN CASE U HAV WORKED WITH THEM SINCE FEB 04
the male stud Darren James ( My best wishes to him and his family I hope he copes ok xxxxx) and then the females who are not clear yet. as they worked Directly with darren Jocelyn, Lauren Roxx, Annie Cruiz, Vanessa, Persia, Miss Arroyo, Kayla Marie (X 2) , Jessica Dee, Skyler Banks, Patrice Petite, Candy Ray, Desiree Clark,
i do so hope that this does not happen here

More info is on the avn.com site take care and be carefull .xxxxxxxx

we all know the risks involved in making porn but its about reducing those risks.

with 30 day tests ur still as likely to catch something but the risks of spreading it on and infecting more people are reduced. a girl/guy can work with 50 people in a month x that by 3 months and u could have wiped out the uk indusustry. ok. im being dramatic.

its about consideration for others and respect for urself.

Jack

Since I heard about this I have been talking with Producers and UK talent about the best way forward and to improve the tests in the UK.

This is not a good time for the US industry and my thoughts go out to everybody out there, and as I have many friends in the US industry I am trying to reach them to make sure they are ok.

We are still in the process of setting up BAIHA (British Adult Industry Health Awareness) which will offer advice and guidelines on being safe in the UK adult industry.

I will update everybody as soon as I have some more information.

The request for 30 day test came from performers and producers. I was asked if I supported this and as an agent and would I ask my models if they wanted it and would I promote it.

The answer is yes I support it and I am happy to put my name to it and be part of BAIHA (British Adult Industry Health Awareness). I see it as a major step forward in improve the safety on productions for performers.

BAIHA is currently in talks with a medical service company about corporate rates for PCR DNA test throughout the UK, so that all performers can get an up to date test within 48 hours where ever they live. As soon as this has been confirmed we will be letting everybody now.

Ok I have always held quite strong opinions on this matter, and I thank Sandie & others for hi-lighting the present situation in the USA.

I must say that this must act as a major kick up the arse for the UK industry.
Angel Long brought up this topic some time ago and I have no hesitation in reposting her thread link

In my opinion and I am certain others..the UK Industry is slack as hell..pro shoots one day (Full Certs Required) then the following day bukakee/gangbangs/parties/escorting ect with OWO & CIM certainly on the menu...for fucks sake wake up and smell the coffee, before something like has happened in the US happens here..it might not be a HIV epidemic as such but OWO with John Peter & Fred straight of the streets clutching his grubby ?50 might leave you open to Herpes/gonarea/syphilis/clamydia/hepititus the list goes on.

Now is the time to put an end to all these high risk additional activities that seem rife in the UK Industry...30 day testing or not.

Sorry if this hits a few nerves...but it had to be said...I only wish Angel's post would have had more of an impact at the time.

For some reason Angel's thread failed to link, therefore I will attempt to repost it as I think it still is valid & makes good reading.
