Appoligies if this has been asked before.
I have been trying to have a 'spring clean' and want to get rid of some of my videos and dvds.
What is the legal process for doing this? They are all R18 certificate and mainly have British girls in them.
In an ideal world I'd like to sell them or even give them away to anyone who is over 18. If this is not legal, I'll end up burning them as throwing them in the dustbin doesn't garantee them being found by under 18's and I don't want to do anything illegal.
Selling Vids and dvds?

"What is the legal process for doing this?"
Who cares?
The fact is that even if you give them away (i.e. distributing) you are still breaking the law. That no money has changed hands is irelevant.

Well, a lot of poor lawyers, for a start. And the police. And the courts.
In fact, a lot of people who have no business telling me what I can/can't do with my own property.

And if I argue that it's just the TAPES I'm giving away, rather than the contents- say, for re-use to tape Big Brother (the telly prog., as opposed to Mr Blankwit, I mean)?
JJ- No experience at all, just pissed-off at Too Much Government Interference
And do you know what the Hell Marcus was on about, below? Gnomic ain't the word........

Re: Selling Vids and dvds?
eh not sure what Gnomic means jj, but basically no I don?t have a clue what either Marcus or even Dibble for that matter were on about, basically Whizz if you send them through the post you are breaking the law unless you have a licensed sex shop in your back garden, even then you might be breaking the law but to quote a much more learned gentelman than myself ?Who cares??? just don?t leave any return address on them though.
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?
Re: Selling Vids and dvds?
The probability of a punter selling off his surplus collection, being done by the Bill is pretty remote, resting as it does on the conjunction of several, each individually improbable, events.
If I was a cynic, I'd think that the Officer (and possibly Marcus, if that's what he means......) is more worried about punters doing him down by selling their old gear at knock-down prices.
Long live the Free Market........
