Re: Hypocrisy over Heathrow's third runway...

I saw a news report on the BBC news24 chanel last night regarding Frankfurt airport expanding with another runway which could potentially bypass the British airports with its increased traffic thereby placing our airports in a backwater. One can't help but think that the third runway option is going ...

Re: Genesis Reunion Tour - The REAL reason!!

They are a tribute band but, they are also the ultimate Genesis tribute band. All Canadian as far as I am aware. They endevour to emulate as accurately as possible the Genesis sound by using the same instruments that would have been used on tour and in the studio, also the same scenery/backdrops ...

Re: Genesis Reunion Tour - The REAL reason!!

It certainly would have been the icing on the cake to see a full reunion for a Lamb tour but alas it was not meant to be. !sad!

Re: 80's bands

Gemma, his wife, was a big fan of his and I guess as a numanoid, has claimed the ultimate fan posession. !grin! Garry's mum, Beryl had always run the fan club up to its demise. Throughout the entire history of Tubeway Army and Gary Numan the Webb family has always been involved in one aspect or ...

Re: 80's bands

He was pretty much accorded god like status by his fans in the early days. For myself, I've followed his music through his highs and lows and, you are certainly correct with what you wrote. The mid eighties to the late nineties were somewhat the wilderness years for him and, only now in the last few ...

Re: 80's bands

Some of my favourites from the eighties - Gary Numan, Ultravox, visage and John Foxx.

Also a mention for Miro Miroe - excellent single called Nights of Arabia.

Re: Bands that are not over rated

Good call Mr S. !thumbsup! !cool!

I recall seeing highlights of a performance at Glastonbury, truly a band that could live up to and exceed studio quality with such rage, power and presence.

Re: Forest are back

It certainly made my day, I was thinking it was going to be play-offs once again what with Doncaster seemingly having it in the bag.

Re: Tips on the national?

I'd be inclined to save my money for a real horse race !hmmm! My own feelings aside, a friend I was speaking to last night fancies 'Slim Pickings' for a place, don't ever waste your money on a win bet with a field this big. Hopefully we won't see the same carnage as yesterdays 3.45 at Aintree, 29 ...
