Hi

Just found out Drew passed away last year, good life around 92 when he went.

To refresh memories of him,

At the old Tower Studio he was a regular for the group shoot

There was a budget studio in Dagenham and again a regular at group shoots

This was 1980s/1990 and he used Pentax the LX towards the end

When Peter opened New Image he helped a lot, shot a lot of the new models, organised group nights, he was responsible for out of London models coming to London as both he and Peter were happy to offer them accommodation at there homes

He began in the 1970s in those days Bernie Williams ran adult shots in some cases up to B/G the photographers would leave there film with Bernie and he would arrange via a local shop to have them processed. Drew would if anyone used slide do the processing and mounting himself

Up until lockdown he would shot 4/5 times a year and was mobile

I was told he was active till almost the end so a good life RIP Drew

Never heard of the dude but he sounds like a legend.

Hi

Found out some more, when he died his funeral involved a burial in the Midlands family cemetery but a full Catholic Mass in London and interment with a priest in the Midlands.

He left ?1,500 for a good meal and session in the pub in London, photographers from the old days and models including current ones were invited. Sadly the only models to attend were from the old days Carol Forster, Sally Kerr and Elizabeth Wilkins and from the old days Rob Peddie and Bernie Williams attended.

There were other friends there but the money paid for a total of 3 farewell events with the same crowd in Wetherspoons steak clubs
