Channel 4 porn show

Hi all, just to let you know that we're filming interviews for our Channel 4 film on porn in a studio in central London next Monday, 28 April, and anyone who's into porn is very welcome to come along and say their piece. Most of you probably have heard of us by now - we'll be interviewing men and women about everything from what's good about Brit porn to tossing techniques. The idea is simply to have people talking on TV more frankly than ever before about why porn is their bag of biscuits. We'll ask people about all the moral issues as well - is porn bad for you, do the models get a raw deal, etc. If you're interested, mail me asap and I'll let you know the time and place. Lots of people on bgafd have put postings up about manipulative editing - don't worry, we're not out to make anyone look bad, we just want to get the new porn-without-guilt generation on film and find out what goes on behind closed doors! Ta and see you there.

Chris, Century Films
btw we won the best documentary BAFTA last week for Feltham Sings.

'new porn-without-guilt generation on film ...'

you either are dreaming or don't understand how the 'general public' view porn

are trying to film the white unicorn? Or is it wish-fulfilment?

Yes, but are we really "on road" enough to take part?

I support this because I have met/discussed this with Chris and I believe him.
If he double-crosses us all. he is a fucking good con-man.
I could be wrong of course, but if so, I can only say that it would be a very bad move to betray the trust of people in this industry.

Oh come on, it's 2003 for Gawd's sake. I can't think of one person I know who is embarrassed about owning porn - everyone knows that everyone else has it on their computers, if nowhere else - or one person who would condemn anyone for that ownership. You must hang out with some really repressed people if (as your post seems to infer) you feel guilty about owning and using porn nowadays. When pretty much every celebrity is happy to talk about their porn consumption in magazine interviews and chat shows, there's nothing for us ordinary folk to get squeamish about, surely?

yeah, right - 'every celebrity is happy to talk about their porn consumption '
Peter Townsend is the only one I've heard about and that was because he was implicated in child porn

that muscian who was exonerated for child porn (and who had done porn sound tracks - for Private?)

Please tell me of any other celebs who have talked about their porn consumption - David Baddiel?

I dont see a rush to Mr kelleys door I,m afraid, as few people have already mentioned, we may be liberal, but the rest of the country aint, yet! and until you can go into Woolworths over 18 video section and buy Ben,s royal reamers, I cant see many people sticking thier necks above the trench, and oddly enough I quite like it that way. Also if your going to have a on-air debate, you need someone who is really into 'making' porn and knows all about the current state of play, re: censorship etc, the ordinary punter would be more inclined to make a complete twat of themseves, I also agree with Joe, and NOT with Golus, you couldnt count on one hand the amount of prominent celebrities who openly talk about their porn habit.
