Money or fun?

Having briefly encountered a few models, it is interesting that some certainly take the hardcore route for the whole experience whereas others, its simply cash
Degrees of both im sure, but i believe this reflects inthe performances
a discussion point?
Do you agree and lets have examples!

I'm not convinced I'm qualified to comment on this... I think the people who can only honestly answer this question are the producers...
I think it is probably a natural progression... from stills modelling to a rather more daring b/g video shoot... be it that they are encouraged by the photographers or through a sense of adventure, I guess it could be either or both.
Undoubtedly there will be a handful who really get off on the idea of performing on film... the "natural nymphomaniacs"....
There will also be those who see a few extra quid and decide to give it a go...
But on the whole, I think it is fair to say that money is not a great incentive in the industry. I think the money on offer (I'm talking industry standard rates applying to the majority of girls) is rather poor in comparison to money they could earn in other areas of "commercial sex".
Does it reflect in the quality of the finished product - in the main - absolutely... the girl who takes to it "like a duck to water" is going to turn out consistently better performances than the girl who is using it as a means to an end... But by the same token, there will undoubtedly be times when the relatively reluctant girl will make a blinding movie...
It's all very subjective - butr as the saying goes - "a volunteer is worth a dozen pressed men" - or women!!! And the woman who is doing it for love and lust and nymphomania is gonna be, by definition, better than the girl who is doing it 'cos she wants the cash forst and foremost!

I agree with this...
I can think of scenes where the grils are clearly excited by what they are doing. (Some good examples in Ben Dover and Cameo collection) and others where it is just a little forced
there are the odd occasions where a simply stunning gril is worth seeing even if there is a slight hint of routine (I would put the stunning "tasmin", Lynda Leigh in her one and only and maybe our old discussion friend LDM in thsi catergory). But the fast forward comes on and the first sight of that bored "lets get this over with" look
Its also true that there is less of a taboo about sex on camera and that this may make the whole business less inhibited. After all its creeping into mainstream. In Intimacy Kerry Fox was certainly (despite denials) fucking Mark Ryland and so on....
Inmteresting to here from producers./...

And good point about the money...
?300 for a shoot is about right? Not a fortune....and easily beaten in other areas
Maybe that is an indicator
Being filmed having sex is a turn on

Wheb it really comes down to it, the proof of the pudding - for want of a better turn of phrase - will rest in the performers list of credits!
If she enjoys the work, is good at it, finds the remuneration acceptable then the list of credits will grow and grow together with some big name titles to her name...
If she's half hearted about it, the list of credits will be minimal, the big name titles and production houses notable by their absence...
For what it is worth - and it is probably worth very little as a valuable opinion on this subject cn only come from a producer - I personally believe that once a girl has done a handful of shoots, if she's motivated pretty much solely by the money, she'll soon learn that it isn't the business to be in... as I said, there are far more profitable areas of commercial sex....
Obviously money is a motivating factor - and speaking only as a bloke with no forst habnd experience of production or performing - I would hazard a guess that another big draw is the excitement factor... the exhibitionism, the liberating atmosphere etc that will surround such a scenario... It has to be about much more than money.

As a veteran of some 460 scenes I can say that I have met many a model that fits all the criteria mentioned above and then more besides.
This is not an easy one to answer.
I've usually found that the girls who did it for the love of it don't demand or expect a fee, they were just grateful to get what they deemed was good sex. It was me on some occasions that insisted the girls accept payment for what I do with the end product.
I generally find that girls who hustle for money don't deliver good performances, therefore it is not at all surprising that they go on to do escort work but then having said that, it doesn't usually follow that girls who do escorting work don't like sex.
I shot a scene in a real brothel recently and found the girls there (who were also on duty) to be friendly and even offered me a freebie. Not what I expected. Even more of an eye opener was listening to them talking about certain clients saying they would do them for free.
It usually follows that a girl considering earning a living in the sex business in general should have a healthy interest and attitude to sex. Another opinion I've formed, based on myself is that girls aren't too bothered if a man is fit and handsome (although, these characteristics do not go unnoticed). Providing he is clean and nice and has a good working penis then he has a good chance on making a good impression. Women can be very forgiving if they want to be.
Then there are the girls who do videos and pictures who frown upon escort work. These girls pride themselves on their chosen profession and deliver dynamic performances no matter what the fee agreed. I'm not at liberty to name names here, but you'll know the type when you see them on screen.
Therefore I would sum up by saying more often than not, its about the fun and the money aspect keeps them coming back for more. The moment the job becomes more about the money and fun is when you find girls start dropping out of the industry.
Its not unusual to find a girl quitting because of this to take a break and make a comeback 6 months to a year later. Some girls who have quit totallyy have told me they really miss the business and none of them even talked about the money they earned. It was usually about the people they've met, shagged etc but the money wasn't mentioned. Cynics may disagree but these opinions are based solely on my own experiences.

opinions based upon the "experiences" of 460 scenes must be worthy of consideration by anyone, i'd have thought. especially those of us who have had less opportunity for such diligent research!

Absolutely agree... the likes of you (the man on the Clapham omnibus, as they say in legal circles) and I, are entitled to have our say, make educated guesswork - but that is all it is - guesswork... Mr Stephens and his colleagues are extremely welcome and it is only they who can give us the factual accounts.
