No Facebook, twitter and instagram drive the internet and a large percentage of people's lives. If something won't impress your friends, get retweeted, shared, liked etc it's not worth doing to a lot of people. For example, if voting would get you 20 new friends, 20 retweets or 20 likes then 18-25 year olds would be queuing at elections.
