Retirement Notice

Hi Everyone,
I am now looking for a normal job so am no longer able to take bookings
anymore than 4wks in advance as I have been advised that this is the longest
acceptable notice to give a new employer.
I do still love modelling/performing but with work getting quieter and a average
of 6 out of 12 shoots getting cancelled, I feel now is the right time to leave and
find more secure employment.
When I have found a new job, I will be fully retiring from certified work as its
too time consuming to keep them in date but I am still undecided if i will retire
completely or just do local solo, non-fluid swop & protected shoots - this will
depend on my hours & shifts.
I will keep posting my 4wk availability dates until I find one and of course will
let you all know when I do;
If I am able to give a last 4wks notice I will, but I am also offering the option
of a immediate start for flexible employers that will allow me the time off to
honour my bookings, so it might not be possible.
At present my availability over the next 4wks is....
*Wed 19th, thur 20th & fri 28th Nov
*thu 4th, mon 8th, thur 11th & fri 12th Dec
So if anyone would like to arrange a shoot whilst im still available please email
me the details to
tanya@officialtanyacox.com
Luv Tanya
X

I have shot with Tanya many times over the last few years and enjoyed every minute. Her professionalism is second to none; her humanity and compassion are refreshing in a world which seems lacking in both and her bubbly personality a joy to behold.
I wish Tanya every success and happiness in whatever she does in the future.
All the best Tanya, you will be missed.
Ian.

I guess a reflection of the general decline in demand from both mainstream professional and private/amateur sources but the ~50% cancellation rate is shockingly high.

This is a sad day.
Tanya is the most professional model we have worked with. Being so organised myself anyway I adapt the same to my business.
Don't get me wrong I have worked with some great very well organised models in the last 12 years but Tanya is always at the front of my mind when anyone asks for someone really reliable.
She is on time, well prepared, and you just couldn't ask for more.
I always say about Tanya when talking about her, she's one of the last great porn stars from back in the day. Before the recession, before torrents and tube sites, Tanya has been constant through out her whole career. Oh yes the cancelation rate is very high and its getting worse.
In the past 4 weeks I have had 3 out of 4 models cancel, and to me I don't think they are valid excuses, and to sound harsh, they weren't in a coma or on death's door so whats your excuse??? Its been like this for at last 4 years and this year has been really bad. I don't think its the industry, its society in general people don't so what they say they will do anymore.
I give 3 strikes, what baffles me is the models who cancel but want to re schedule and chase you for a date then get arsey when you can't just book another date like that because you have other shoots on, then we still get to the 3rd and final strike and they cancel after you have tried to set another date with them.
But i'm ranting, bottom line Tanya will be missed for the lovely girl she is swell as her professionalism.

It's a sad day when someone like Tanya gets messed about so much she is obliged to retire. I completely agree with Paul Taylor -Tanya is one of the most
organised, friendly, professional performers there are if not THE most. This "industry" will be the poorer without her. I know she's keeping her options open so she may yet be tempted to resume regular work but with the
current climate it may well get worse before it gets better. All the best Tanya in this new phase !drink!!drink!!drink!.

Wow thanks guys for your lovely comments,
I will miss you all - but remember I haven't gone yet,
I still have the task of finding a "normal" job 1st.
*NOW FOR THE BORING RANT ABOUT CANCELATIONS,
-so for fans that proberly aren't interested skip to the next post....
- But for anyone in the industry who wants to know how bad things have got
from my point of view read on....
After I had 9 out of 12 bookings cancel in September, I started asking other
models what there cancellation ratio was and most of those that only
shoot for people with references said about 50%
but as ive always been willing to give new comers a chance im actually finding
that its about 75% of my bookings getting cancelled.
At the start of September I was so excited thinking I had a rare busy month,
but then it all fell apart so after even more cancelations on a already quiet
month during October and the start of November, I just decided enough was
enough.
I know its happening both ways and that togs & producers are getting a lot of
no shows and cancelations too, so it affects the whole industry.
I really hope everyone gets their acts together and can make a turn around for
the industry and those of you staying in it, but without a standard cancellation
fee system where everyone (models, togs/producers - pro & amature) have to
pay if they cancel I can't see it ever getting any better.
But lots of love & respect to you all,
xxx

Thanks for the info about cancellations. I've always been curious about the circumstances behind the cancellations that do occur. But why oh why do people cancel if they were interested to begin with! Beats me. Especially with someone like Tanya who really is a TOTAL treat to work with. I mean WTF! As
Tanya quite rightly said a cancellation fee system would greatly help and also greater professionalism. But thanks for your words of wisdom Tanya very useful to me at least !bow! !bow!!bow!.

yes Knave a cancelation fee system would be very useful if it was made
compulsory but unfortunately there is no way of making that happen,
