Opening myself up for trouble?

Hi All,

As you may or may not know I recently started a free porn site (blog), entirely ad free with no membership requirements and containing 100% self produced material.

My concern after reading some of the forums posts here is whether I am opening myself up to lots of trouble with the law, ATVOD etc.

I knew going into this project I'd lose some money but I don't want to risk fines/prison time etc.

Thanks for any advice!
James

If ATVOD find out about the vids you've uploaded then they will come after you.
Best you just stick to pics.

oo-er!

That's worrying =( And if they do come after me, what would the likely result be? a warning? a take down request?

Thanks again

You'd receive a letter containg a load of legal shit stating you need to register with them and telling you how your videos need to be behind a firewall that makes sure only people 18+ can view them, and that if you comply with that you will need to pay their yearly tariff, about ?145. You would also not be able to have any explicit images outside of the protected area.

If you didn't do that then they would refer you to ofcom where you could be fined.

That's the basic gist of it. If you plan to keep the vids then best to read through their site - http://www.atvod.co.uk/

Thanks for the advice Welshmorph,

I'll run the risk for a while, if they come-a-knocking I'll pull the vids, it's not like they are a revenue stream so not really bothered about pulling them.
