New model advice

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, the other seems to be a bit more for guys stalking girls.

I'm thinking about getting into porn, for extra uni cash. I'm not comfortable with escorting, or lapdancing, but I've no issue with doing a spot of porn if it pays well! But I've got very little idea about the business, and don't want to get underpaid/exploited etc!

What's the sort of rate for the work? I've seen plenty of porn, and I know it ranges from solo, to being tag teamed by a group of cocks. I'm not particularly worried about the level, but I'm not taking a cock for less than the market value!

I'm 22 years old, 5'9, shoulder length brown hair, size 9 dress and 40dd cup. I know that I'm good looking, but I'm not a perma tanned twat, I'm more of a burlesque girl.

I'm happy with film and vids, nude up to boy girl, anal.

Please help a poor student not to get fucked over by getting fucked!

Please let me say "welcome to the forum" before you take this post the wrong way. It is not intended to be a personal attack.

Quite a lot of aspiring models post here claiming to look for work but they don't provide many essential details. A lot of them don't "sell" themselves properly and in return most producers/photographers will make as much effort to contact them as those looking for work have done to promote themselves - little to none at all. It is the model's responsibility to make themselves known.

We hope you'll be an exception and make a positive contribution to the industry. However, for that to happen, you should treat your introduction more seriously like a mainstream job application and put a CV out there with the following:

1) Your location (your county should be enough though a town/city would help more) and how flexible you are with travelling and/or if you can work from home or if you know a local studio you can work from

[s]2) What modelling levels you will work up to, e.g. solo (UK, US or Continental mag), girl/girl, boy/girl and the type of work e.g. stills and/or video[/s]

3) Prior modelling experience, if any

4)a) A few recent photos. At least one portrait and one full body shot should be enough

4)b) If your photos don't make it clear, point out if/where you have tattoos, piercings or noticeable scars and if you've had breast implants.

You can upload your photos to http://mybeautifultease.com/imagehost and post the links on this forum.

Alternatively, you can get yourself set up for free on http://www.adultindustryresources.com/drupal7/, providing the details mentioned above then provide your AIR profile link over here.

As you're surely aware, image is hugely important in this business. That's not to say you need to be a leggy 21 year old blonde with a 34D bust in a dress size 8 - EVERY woman has her own appeal to somebody in this business. It's important to show what you look like for producers to know if you suit the look they're after.

Thanks, that's very helpful. It means I'm between and 8 and a 10. I hope that helps answer your very important question. Please, let's discuss shoe size next. That's what I really came here to discuss.

I'm purestorm, have been for a few years now. I don't think I've got much of an issue finding work, it seems fairly straightforward. But I have no idea of rates, expectations etc.

Also, it's worth pointing out, I'm not really interested in being the next 'big porn star' I'm just looking for some easy cash.

Hi, Gillian. I'm a producer. For my last series for Playboy TV I paid the girls ?350 each for a day's work. The work comprised two separate versions of the sex (hard and soft, the latter including real penetration with the fucking in both lasting an average of 30 minutes), publicity photographs and three 10-minute video extras (solo masturbation, striptease, blowjob). An average day, in the door, out the door, lasted between six and seven hours. Some producers may pay less.

Also, have a look at the models pages of adultindustryresouces.com. Some of the girls post their rates on there, a lot of them geared towards the smaller photographer and producer who may not want to book a girl for a whole day.

With respect though, you don't project a particularly positive attitude with your posts. Calling porn fans stalkers is a little rude. It's the porn fans who will pay your wages if you get any work. And stating that you're "just looking for some easy cash" may lead some prospective producers to think you're lazy. It is easy cash compared to working in an office or a supermarket but the most successful models working today are those who are reliable and work hard on the day for the person who's employing them.

Andy Ide writes that he pays models ?350 per day for Playboy TV bg shoots.

I'm going to cut that out and keep it :-)

Where then are models recently getting the idea that ?400 for a couple of hours is the correct pay?

Thanks for the straight answer, it was very kind of you to post some actual useful advice. ?350 a day is less than I thought, but it's great to get a frame of reference.

In regards to my attitude, well, I don't think that's an issue. I'm just looking for advice on the rates, I'm pretty sure people don't really care what's motivating the girl they are watching being fucked. Not that they'll link this thread to any of the thousands of girls out there.

Thanks though, I'll be sure to perk up for any shoots.
