Cutting my teeth

I am getting more and more into photography and and am looking to combine a few of my skills and start a web site purely as a learning curve at this point but hopefully to lead to a more professional position in the market. I was hoping that there would be some ladies out there in or around the Sheffield area who might enjoy working to varying levels with me and would not get too annoyed at a beginner making a few mistakes.
Any pointers would also be welcome...... Jimbob !innocent!

With the pain in the arse that is ATVOD and the preventing under 18 access regulations regarding even adult sites that only have stills, its hardly worth bothering unless you mean to make a proper commercial go of it.

Jim are you looking for models for FREE... as if so this is your first mistake in my opinion... even asking for it is a mistake as your setting up your reputation, and one that models frown upon, especially with asking for more adult models...
Pay an established model to shoot... and learn from her... get the right results from day 1... an established model will certainly help you do this. Then through those results you can explore content share and TFP work...
Just my opinion...

Hi
No I am not asking models to do this for free, I assumed that there would be a a fee from models. I am not asking for anything for free....

Hey Jim Bob... thats good then, I wouldn't limit myself then to just Sheffield based models... models will travel, and if your paying be selective...
Do you shoot stills and video ? Video is where it is at... what stills camera do you use ? I would always try and shoot RAW as well as JPG... Allows for better correction should the images not turn out as you'd hoped...
What lighting do you use ? Please dont say the built in flash...

I have a canon EOS 7D and a EOD 550D, I like to use a 50mm F1.8 lense for portraits etc....for lighting I guess it depends on the histogram reading, but I have ex420 & ex550 flashes. I prefer to use natural light and reflectors if possible, silver for contrast, gold for indoor, white, translucent etc... I dont have my own studio lighting yet... I am more at home with stills but you think video is where its at? Oh, I agree with you that RAW is better for pre PS editing, but dont forget all JPEG images suffer compression details loss post manipulation, so don't get too hung up on RAW.
Cheers ......

Hey Jim Bob...
Well video is where it's at if you want to make money in porn... are you looking to shoot porn ? Cause the way you describe things it sounds more arty to me... but I could be wrong, remember we are having this discussion on a message board... lol.
For me when I hire a girl for a full day, she costs me the same for stills and pics as she does for stills... some say it's extra for video, but in truth I get them at the same rate...
Shame you aint nearer... could of met up for a coffee (or beer) and chatted... Sounds like you know a bit about the photographic side anyways... but turning it into hard cash in this game is getting harder all the time...
