I like it to be honest. It works well with much more souce formats than Premiere does, its quick to edit with, and I really struggle to fault it to be honest.
Very good bit of kit if you ask me.

Use it, love it.
I got a 30 day trial when I was looking to move up from Windows Movie Maker. I tried Pinnacle and Ulead (I think, was a long time ago) and didn't like them much, lots issues.
Vegas worked like a dream. The Batch render is great for generating vast numbers of clips etc in one go.
But if you are doing HD renders, you'll need the horsepower, (whatever you use).

Paul jones is bang on, the hd sucked the cr*p out of my main pc, 3gb rams nothing & a 1gb graphics card is pretty essential for hd footage, other than that, It's a dream!
I use pinnacle, usually, then flipped to sony vegas, I'm taken back by its performance, it's mechanics & how you can use the extra bits to change noise & take out frequencies, move the parts in & out, edit the areas you want, move it all around, well, it's A1!
