I have been trying without any enjoy to upload a movie file onto adultworks and it just wont work any help or advice the clip is around 12 mins long and is mp4 format

This is a common problem. You should read their FAQs on using FTP to upload.

mp4s are not allowed they have to be wmv read the info on the same age that you are trying to upload the clips, it tells you the movies sizes and bits rates it has to be. FTP is a better way for uploading rentals ( full scenes), 12 minutes for the clips area is too long break it down to either 1-3 mins long, plus AW creates the price based on the quality and length I have seen some 12 min clips be over ?7 before and people can't change it back and not many would buy it for that price, little and short clips will make you more, regular money

thanks for that I dont understand why they only allow wmv format surely mp4 should be allowed as it can be played on nearly all players AW I have to say are so out dated its unreal considering the amount of money they cut from what you make anyone else agree

Nikki I totally agree with you, wmv is a windows based platform that is going out the window anyway, mp4 is compatible on windows and Mac and most tablets etc.... It also allows you too have great HD video for web download so MP4 is great. Adultwork has been out dated for a while, but the traffic and the money you can make on it makes you put up with it sadly. I also think that the money they make from all of the users, they may have to limit the use of the site or even take it off line to make these big changes and while they are doing that they aren't making money are they. so I bet thats why this hasn't been addressed yet.

well the point is that for a brief period if they would take there website off line and it wouldn't be the end of the world if the end results are 10 times better than what they currently have but lets face it as more and more people view porn of portable devices such as iphones ipods ipads and more and more people buy apple computers they have limited the type of people that will visit the site if they only accept wmv format clips and most of the videos that people upload don't play on apple devices and this will only hurt their turnover and cause them to lose money and once people go on to other sites to view porn it may be too late for adultworks to make changes as they may have lost a huge customer base but I really think adultworks needs to move with the times.

My computer has been on since 7.30 this morning while I have been trying to upload this 12min clip and still no closer so bloody annoying

I have just downloaded cyberduck which is meant to help me upload my file onto adultworks but I dont have a clue how to use it any help??
