DV Tape Transfer

Hello all,
My Sony A1-E will not work via the Firewire port. !sad! Changed the board as well. !confused!
Does anyone have an old DV camera laying around I could borrow to transfer some tapes. It doesn't have to record or even have a lens as long as the Firewire port works. !happy!
