WEB CAM ADVICE

Hi,
Can anyone help me with regard to audio when doing webcam sessions on AW. I have a good webcam & audio is great in public/free chat & during group chat, BUT as soon as anyone goes into private chat with me, sound disappears every time!
Why does this happen, & what can I do about it?
Answers on a postcard please! Seriously if you can help me great. If its easier leave me your email or mobile number so I can chat with you about it.
