Hmmm, considering your post has been up for almost 24hrs on a busy forum like this without a useful response, I'd say Mr Maxhotmailaddress is looking a bit on the flakey side. I am assuming he hasn't offered any references, so does he have a profile on purestorm or the suchlike?

says he has worked with Crystal Saunders, Stella Baby and worked with Rebecca Ryder last year

Yes that does sound a bit odd, as I can't think of a logical reason why he'd need to contact them first, but I guess the truth will out shortly.

Just as a general point, not specifically connected with the people involved in this thread, but it's usually polite to ask people if its ok to provide their details to an unknown third party.

"Someone wants references, is it ok for me to give them your email so they can contact you?"

Of course, suspicious jaded me would insist on real email addresses, not hotmail type disposable ones.

That's a fair point Peter. Perhaps I was being a bit prejudiced (unfortunately hotmail addresses can have that effect on me), and there's a good possibility you hit the nail on the head and maybe he was being professionally courteous. Giving Emma their names without checking with them first might have been a bit of an oversight on his part, as a third party shouldn't have much trouble googling models' profiles or email addresses, which are usually in the public domain.

Yep, I'd generally point someone requiring a reference to a models profile on a site, or anywhere they've chosen themselves to make it public. Only details I'd have to pull from my personal contacts book would I check with the model if it was ok to give it out.

Just as if someone asks me for contact details of a girl i've shot, i'll say "I'll pass her your number, and she'll contact you if she wants to" I'd expect that if I was asking for a contact, too.
