Firstly i just want to apologize to admin just incase this is not an appropriate place for this posting.
Hi all some of you may know me as Sam Rogers and those that know me personally will know i have always been concerned with health in the industry and i know that many of you share my views so its now time i got off my bum and did something about it.
Adult Industry Health will be an advocacy website for the porn industry in the UK we will promote good health practices in the industry and provide information and resources like a list of clinics and articles on risks posed by not just normal practices but fetish practices as well.
We are not going to be here to dictate policy to the industry just provide the best information possible.
If anyone is interested in assisting or contributing information or articles then please get in touch either here or on twitter or via email.

No offence Sam but for something as serious as this you don't appear to be that serious looking half cocked with just a holding page.
I think you should have launched when you were up and ready. This will lose steam if it hasn't already.
Its going to be hard to support your site and expect everyone else to know what you are about with just a holding page
Can you be more specific with what your aims and achievements are with this? If its just to provide information on clinics and std's and related information then there are plenty other sites out there already doing this

Those are some fair points there Jack, the holding page is temporary and the first build of the site should be up by the weekend i wanted to give any contributors the chance to contribute before the site went up.
While it is true there are sites that already provide this information they are either not comprehensive enough, not aimed at the adult industry or are aimed at a specific sector of the industry. In the case of the excellent Gaikiss, it is one aimed specifically at the gay side of the industry and the webmaster has not had a chance to update it in some time specifically with clinic information.
While its true there will always be some rogue people of course this isnt aimed at those individuals more its aimed at providing better and up to date information for people already in the industry and being a good starting point for those just starting out.

Hey this maybe the next big thing, of free information if promoted right but I agree with Terry, and even from your response to him, you have basically just said what is already there, maybe your not explaining it right and when the site goes live we can see for ourselves, Gay or not I would of thought the information about Health and staying safe is the same whatever your sexual preference. We can always use more ways to get the information out there, and if they find your site first or the ones that are already out there, its just another way to get hold of some useful information.

Sam if you do it right I think it would be great. Any member of this industry providing info is doing their part by mucking in.
Its so hard to get anyone to do anything voluntarily which is why I think you should be applauded when it launches.
When it does, Ill see if I can pull any strings to implement your site or at least link to it or get the word out through the jungle grape vine like twitter

I find it hard to get people to do thing voluntarily however thats why I do the podcast, to offer advice and an insight into the industry, the last two episodes has gone from the special guest style to two 3 specials, including advice on starting out and you should see the e-mails I get, don't worry the interviews will still carry on, not changing that much, 29,000 and counting for visitors
nothing wrong with doing your bit Sam
Good luck
