The UK pornscene is dying slowly, because of the following reasons.

1. The MOST popular UK models to do hardcore were active late 80's and 90's (charmain sinclaire, vida garman, haley russell, risha kuram, jade, joe kelsey, lorraine ansell, kirstyn halborg........, whereas 1998-present has not produced any pornstar with the calibre of the previously mentioned models, all this country has is Cathy Barry and she can't touch the models above in terms of performance or anything else, appreciate cathy barry fans will be reading this, but you have to admit the truth.

2. Ben Dover copied Buttman (gonzo style) and is very good, although his earlier work again late 80's and mid 90's was his best because at the time the BEST models were working in the business, thats why banned in britain with linda leigh is still good; case in point.

3. UK producers are Ben Dover, One Eyed Jack the only ones prodicing quality stuff, the rest look amateur case, in point the fuck truck series, you would expect them to use something different at least in terms of location and the lighting is terrible, camera angle could be improved.

4. The USA has probably the BEST (although brit babes are still #1 in my book) models in the business now, they have figures which are toned and tanned, whereas many of the uk female pornstars appear to be pale, not tanned or even toned for that fact.

In closing the golden period of UK porn was in the 80's and mid 90's, which is why Charmaine Sinclair still has a loyal following around not only the UK but around the world. Thanks for your time.

The Best actresses we have produced over the last few years have had to move to the U.S to get the best work, namely Sabrina Johnson, Layla Jade, Nici Sterling etc

Actually I take an opposite view. Many people, myself included, are tired of that toned US model look - all slick, passionless, silicon and tans. Sure there are a few exceptions but nowhere near as many as in Europe and the UK. Look to the net and you will see many of best, most vibrant and most original sites are from outside the US - especially Britain, Europe and countries like Canada and Australia where the models are generally more natural, the sex more real, the focus more on fun and eroticism and the approach less formulaic.

Your right and wrong really. The girls back then ( many that I found and indeed shot for whoever ) just maybe seemed better as we were all kinda not sure whether we were legally doing things properly and quite honestly didn't care to much until plod came a knocking. The people you have mentioned were the pioneers in many ways ( especially Remington ) and because there were fewer of us doing it back then. There was more money and more chance of us getting laid as we all had hair, etc,etc.
Nowadays it's all pretty much up front and legal ( although still pretty much a grey area ). Every man Jack and his dog are shooting it AND more alarmingly making money shooting absolute CRAP.
