I hope this is not a joke but just been told Jim Carter is dead, is this true ???

That is really sad news. I went to Jim's studio last year when I was using my former name. He helped me out with a shoot with Anna Joy at very short notice. He it did for virtually nothing too. I know Anna will be most upset as she went there quite I bit I believe. I had never met him before but it was like meeting an old friend. He even gave me a lift back to Manchester Piccadilly. You couldn't have met a nicer guy and so knowledgeable with his years of experience. A couple of Jim's pics are on my A.I.R. profile.

If true, this is really sad news.

I only met Jim once when I shot with Shay Hendrix at his studio but he was a really nice guy and very helpful.

I approached Jim about shooting a newbie who wanted somebody she could trust.
He was very helpful and obliging.

Yes I was ment to be shooting at the studio yesterday and we found out when we arrived that he had died Wednesday eve. R.I.P x

This is shock news.
I have just returned from the N/W and had intended to call in to see Jim today before I returned home.
This accounts for there being no reply to my phone calls.

Anyway Jim was not only a great photographer but was also a very helpful and friendly guy too.

I only had three shoots at the studio, Sarah Jane in the gypsy dresses, Anna Joy and India.

Also I have seen some of the Art nude photos he did of Jess West which are excellent. She has some of them on her wall.

Would love to see some of his work posted on here as a tribute.
