I know this forum is for models and producers to use for work related posts, but would it not be easier now to have a closed forum for models and producers?

There does not seem to be many producers using this site now, where do other producers advertise for models?

I think it would be a very good idea, it would save random people adding you on MSN and the like wanting you to send them nude pics and various other things when they're not even in the industry!!!

I've lost count of the number of people I've had to block and delete on MSN as they're just trying to get me on webcam (not that I have one nor do I offer that but meh) it's annoying to say the least.

The emails I get and I'm sure lots more girls get them too, asking me to do BG for ?80 for 6 hours or make some guy bleed just for his fun and pleasure!

The whole industry needs policing a bit better, maybe then the real producers/photographers can get on with their projects and the timewasters won't have anywhere to get contact details from.

It's not just annoying, it's also model safety in my opinion! Especially those who work from home.

Rant over lol

This is the only place I know of to be honest apart from AIR

It's a good point Trinity, especially the model safety point.
But as you say, very hard to police, it's not as if we have a union...
There will always be those guys wanting the bg for a tiny sum but we all know that they are there so with a little experience we can probably steer well clear... Hope you are ok.

Haven't you heard of XBIZ.net? It's the global adult industry networking site? It's completely industry-only, with each member subject to verification, and it's also very well self-regulated from within by those industry execs. You should give it a go.

By the way, if you've not already heard of it, the 6th XBIZ.net London Gathering is going to be held on the evening of Tuesday 1st Feb in central London. Details are only available to members of the site, however.

1. Why would it being closed achieve anything?

2. Who decides who a big producers is?

3. Wasn't this malarkey one of the reasons why AIR was formed?

XBIZ.net is one such forum as Love_Byter points out. It's a great community of industry professionals - not just models and producers but affiliates, distributors, payment processors, pr, legal experts and so on.

XBIZ shows how useful a closed and 'industry-only' forum/social network can be you only have to look through some of the threads to see how much more candid and open people are about their business, opportunities and in dishing out sound advice.

I'm not sure what their criteria is for vetting but I think they deem you as an industry professional if you can demonstrate your profession to them so if you are a webmaster or producer but do not supply a web site address your probably not likely to be approved likewise if you are a pr company without a web site to demonstrate your field of work.

I have heard of XBiz, but for a complete newbie girl who wishes to model, this site is (or was) the first port of call for the industry in the UK.

In the past couple of years though, that seems to have changed and I feel its down to the fact that all posts are readable by professionals as well as the general public.

Its just my opinion, but a closed forum would make models feel easier about using this site again.
