Can any one suggest decent converters changing to WMV from say AVI, MOV etc.

I have a MAC and use the IMovie software, so you can only export in certain formats (doesnt allow wmv) so i then need to find different software to convert to WMV.

Videos i have look superb in those formats, though when i convert to WMV the quality is degrading.

May be due to the quality of the converters you can download for free from the internet.

Also is there a common standard output resolution size, if so what is an acceptable standard for websites?

iMovie makes perfectly good WMV files.

You simply have to add the full version of Flip4Mac. The free version saves 30 seconds at a time.

Job done :-)

I use a Mac with FinalCut ... Flip4Mac is what you need to go with it :)

I noticed that the most recent version of Flip4Mac was causing end of file corruption, so I went back to the previous one ..

Visual hub is excellent.

Compressor is very good too.

Visual Hub is no longer available or supported and makes VERY BAD wmv files in my experience...it was good for AVI and other formats, but who wants those?

Aha. I use a custom set up for mpgs on Visualhub and it is excellent. Assumed it would be good for everything.

Sorry!

Toybox.

Do you use Mac OSX as well? I have yet to start sorting out my scenes but was about to start and foolishly assumed that imovie would do it. I have final cut pro but find it kinda awkward to use. Do you know if FCP exports to wmv?

Sorry dude, I am being a little dense I think.

Any Video Converter Professional is cheap and works well in all formats, you can alter the bit rate size whatever
