There are quite a few cam websites available.
MFC (MyFreeCams) is a major global site, with lots of girls from around the world. There aren't too many Brit girls on there though - which can be a good or bad thing.
Streamate is also reckoned to be good, probably better than MFC. I've had anecdotal evidence from some girls that it IS. But best to take a look at each.
There is also the new online adult directory Slinc - a British site which is continuing to grow (they exhibited at Erotica 2010). They have a paying webcam operation as part of the site.
One quick word of advice: as part of an ongoing project requiring the evaluation of sites and performers, it has to be said - the majority of UK girls are woeful compared to those from other countries. A lot of girls simply dress in their skimpies, and expect everything to come to them. It DOESN'T work like that.
The successful girls are the ones who go out of their way to create a dialogue and rapport with the viewers off their own bat. If they don't, it will be a struggle competing with those who do this naturally. Good luck to your friend!

weird, i know a girl too in the same position........wonder if its the same girl lol. no names james but initials wouldnt be GC would they?

get her in contact with Katie K, Katie is running a web camming service that is fab in terms of set up and potential pay rates etc
