Hi There,

we had some e-mail issue when we tried to "ssemless" change to BT as our provider, unfortunatley it wasn't so seemless! So I do appologise.

If you contact me direct on 0161 877 5300 or 07917832613 I will negotiate a discount off your next certs as some form of an apology

serious question: does this include oral swabs?!

i ask because, i was tested today at doctorcall regents park and mentioned this company, confused at how they have a 24 hour turn around, when cultures take much longer to even generate a result...

chances are it doesnt include oral swabs, which ARE a part of the adult certs.

Talent, you should be very wary working with people who have these "certs" IMO... chances are , its NOT a full screen.

did you get the throat swab?

im only passing on my doctors concerns, i found it strange they have a 24 hour turn around when the throat swab culture apparently takes longer to result.

if its just bloods and a pee test then apparently, it can be done quickly? (i honestly have no idea, just repeating what my doc said!)

I take particular umbridge to this post. We have on-site labs that are the third largest lab service in the world and used by the NHS, we also have the National Blood Transfusion Service here and are a registered Yellow Fever and Vaccination centre with the Quality Care Commision. We also screen all professional boxers on behalf of the British Boxing Board!

I suggest before you start, "quoting on microbiology screening" you get to know some facts and understand different methods of gaining the results and the lead times that incurs.

We vhave the fastest turn around for HIV in the country which takes us approximately 48 mins if the sample is processed straight away. Our diagnostic service is "state of the art" having been newly installed.

Oral swabs have a place, but are a better for picking up bacteria that cannot be located by my other means such as MRSA.

Sorry to harp on about this but am I missing something here? Now I know I am not a medical professional but as Chloe Cruize said, throat swabs are important surely? When I go for my tests I am asked if I have had oral sex and if so I am given a throat swab. I go to a NHS hospital for my tests and I am sure if they thought throat swabs were not necessary they would not do them. I am told they detect oral chlamydia and gonorrhea.
Just to add my tests and certs are free and I only wait a week.
