Hi all

Just wondering if there were any photographers out there in the same position as me that wanted to join together on a project?

I've got my photography to the standard where I want to start selling it, but the market place seems closed off to newcomers. I'm therefore thinking about starting my own site (if you can't join them, beat them etc etc) but it'll take a lot of work to build a site, attract enough traffic and then run it just to sell the amount of content that I'm able to produce (photography is not a full time activity for me).

So, I just wondered if there was anyone out there in the same position who fancied contributing on the building and running of a site to share in the visitor numbers.

Also, if any one's got any pointers for good webhosts, website design, payment services, traffic generation etc etc then I'd be pleased to hear it.

Thanks for the heads-up Ron, I'll give it a read...

Actually I've already tried adultwork and not had a single sniff. I think it's probably too expensive for customers and there's so many other competing suppliers on their it's hard for one person's work to stand out.

The magazines are pretty dead - their buyers moved to the Net. And want video...

My take - unless you can do something amazing and new, you should stick to treating it as a hobby.
