After last week's fake model contacting me, I've had another even more sinister one.

I've had a model call me today to let me know that she received an email that is supposed to be from me, asking if she wishes to buy back the content from our shoot (cos another site would like to buy my content) by matching the price being offered by this website.

He said she could pay with money or offer her service to him!!!!!!

She rang me to ask what was going on, this is really annoying, some sick perv trying to take advantage.

I want to reassure any models I've shot, if you can get anyone saying they are me (not from my email or my number) please ignore him (or them).

And finally does anyone know how to trace this person, I only have his email, so is this an impossibility?

There will be an IP address attached to the email which you can then use to find out the general area which can be specific enough to locate who you're looking for.

What email host are you using? Yahoo is what I use but I'll definitely look into another host to find out how they can pull an IP.

I use a one called rock.com the person pretending to be used a hotmail.co.uk account

I don't know about anyone else, but after having a few timewasters and fakes trying to contact me for making bookings etc for Chloe already - and seeing the increasing number of posts concerning fakes being made on here, I've taken to checking and verifying anyone who contacts me now.

All it takes is a couple of minutes research to verify. Much better to be safe than sorry - or have your time wasted or yourself compromised.

This is as good a place as any to verify email addresses etc - as if they're on here, there's a good chance they are genuine.....and if they are fake, they will be easily exposed. It's sometimes too easy to jump at an offer without really thinking about the validity of it.

There will always be people timewasting etc - but we can at least cut down how much they affect the industry and the people concerned !happy!
