Hey,

We are currently discussing with KazB about a secure online site where producers and other performers can Log in and check the status / validity of any performers certs.

As I have mentioned to Kaz only this morning, if enough people are interested I would be prepared to set this up.

Any one can use the service FOC - providing the certs were done at Clinic Express of course!

Let me know what you think.

Chris,

thats a great idea hun

can you please post some more details on it......
ie * where your based,
* charges
* if you do full tests ie bloods, penis/cervical swabs , and throat swabs
(i ask this cos some private clinics don't do throat swabs but obviously in our line of work, troat swabs are essentials)

Luv Tanya

Tanya,

We are in Bristol, please take a look at our website for more details:

http://www.clinic-express.co.uk

Our Adult performer STD certs are ?125

We do full blood tests for HIV, Syphilis and Hep B.

Urine Sample (male) or LVS (Lower Vaginal Swab) for woman for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. all results are usually within 24 hours (if you come in before 4pm)

We do throat and anal swabs for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea but there will be a small additional charge.

Any suggestions for the online certs scheme would be appreciated.

Chris

Who decides who is allowed to access this database?

Chris,

This is a great idea and I'm 110% in favour.

Here comes the BUT though.
If you are only Bristol based, it will struggle to work. There MUST be testing points (for want of a better expession) nationally. Performers, for example, from the North East, North West, Scotland, Midlands, East and South East won't travel all the way to Bristol for tests.

If you can get over that I'm behind you (and KazB) all the way. !thumbsup!
In fact, I'm behind anything that will make the industry safer for all performers.

Myson
!oldie!

I would consider setting up a system that would link all private clinics and possibly the NHS certs to a central database, but at the moment there are too many people that don?t want to pay for tests and therefore make it unviable.

At the end of the day we are a private clinic and a business and like you, I dont do anything for free!

BUT - I am just thinking here - How many performers get tested each day throughout the UK?

Who do you think?

I think you should be a member, but membership will of course be free?

A disinterested party, someone who has no vested interest in seeing his mates are alright, and his competitors are shut out. (This isn't a dig at UKAP, before anyone starts)

How are you going to make sure the genuine first time wannabe producer, with a pocket full of money, a few ideas and a desire to do things the right way gets in, but the NoTW reporter with a passable legend and a desire to dig for dirt remains shut out?

I agree, it would be absolutely great idea, if you could make the testing service nationally available, Its definately something i would go for, Im currently getting mine done from my gp, but you know like when you ask for that service at your gp, not everyone as open minded as us lol!

it would be great just to have a service like that for your certs nationwide

In the past ive had infections in just my throat that somehow i didn't catch in my cervix, which is why i feel throat swabs need to be made a compulsery part of the test ,

if you can push for that and sort out more locations we can choose to get tested from then im all for it,
