Do you perform in hard-core video? At Century Films we're producing a Channel 4 drama-documentary about the UK porn business, and I'm keen to talk to models to get your side of the story. Have you something to say about the industry, the job, or life away from the cameras? Do you think the life of an adult model has been properly represented before in the past? Call Chris on 020 7378 6106 or e-mail
ckelly111@yahoo.com. You can talk to us in absolute confidence. Later on, we'll be looking for people to act in the programme, whether playing themselves or a partly fictionalised character, but for now we just need to find out what's going on and what our programme should cover. Thanks, Chris.

by jj, cynically.....
Doubt you'll get many takers (isn't this your second try, BTW?) after the recent Beeb 2 hatchet-job on Jim and Violet.
Now if you could convince potential participants that you wouldn't trot out the usual agenda and stereotypes.....it's one of the largest industries in the UK, and a huge potential Tax rake-off, apart from its manifest popularity: so would anyone in Meejaland or the Blur Oligarchy for once care to treat it in an adult way, just for a change?
Seems you either tee-hee like schoolkids at the 'smut', go the 'Cathy Come Home' route, or drown the topic in talking-head psychobabble.

Summed it all up JJ - there was also a comment on a previous thread about recompense for the time that people are going to spend doing Mr Kelly's research for him...

Well I hope you're right Karina - we just get very used to sitting in our bunkers with tin hats on whenever the mainstream media get inviolved...

....I did try in that post not to sound TOO disillusioned (it's in there somewhere, honest !!).
But if you get kicked in the nads once, you're unlikely to return for seconds.

drama-documentary
is that a dramatization of real events or fake events that look real (documentary style 'reality')?

It should not take a great deal of intelligence. These guys don?t sell their crap to channel 4 or 5 or whatever by saying nice things about the porn industry and those in it. They are to be avoided like the plague until they learn the art of objective journalism and even then treat with caution.
With the opening up of the porn industry in the UK everyone who thinks he has the ability to make a TV program wants to produce documentaries, reality TV, or just try to upset the dowager dames of Tunbridge Wells, but not too much! Unfortunately those who have tried so far have taken the test and failed miserably.
Oh, they never want to pay for your time and involvement either Grrrrr Wish I could get my subjects for free, er any takers?
