Even when I've read a post the "new" label remains. It's too confusing for my tired old brain.

try clicking the "Mark All Read" link at the top of the page and see how it goes from there.

This also happens if you use the back button to get back to the main list - try the "Forum" button if you've been doing this - the new marks should disappear.

Try lowering your cookie blocking level.

Thanks guys but none of your suggestions work. The "new" goes after I've visited/revisited a thread etc. but when I come back to the site all the "news" are back again even if they arn't - if you know what I mean.
